Tammy Long

Tammy Dunn Johnson Long, age 59, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky after an extended illness.  She was a longtime resident of Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Tammy was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 16, 1962 to Eva Donald Dunn Ferriell and the late Ronald Gregory Dunn.  In addition to her father, preceding her in death are her former husband, William Leslie Johnson; her maternal and paternal grandparents; several uncles; her stepmother, Robin Dunn; her two fathers-in-law, Junior Johnson and Donald Long; and two brothers-in-law, Kevin Johnson and Raymond Johnson.

In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Daymond Long; her sons Darren Johnson (Lauren) and Travis Johnson (Brittany); her grandson, Jakxon; her stepfather, Robert Ferriell; her sister, Ashley Dunn and Ashley's daughter, Brielle, who was like a granddaughter to Tammy; her brothers, Ronald Gregory Dunn, Jr. (Ada), Joshua Dunn and Caleb Dunn; her mothers-in-law, Frances Johnson and Helen Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.

Tammy was a member of Meadow Land Baptist Church in Bowling Green, where she volunteered every chance she got. Known for being a hard worker, Tammy was last a manage at Buffalo Wild Wings until her health began to fail.  Tammy absolutely loved anything to do with water, including fishing, swimming in her pool and basking in the sun on the beach.  She also enjoyed family gatherings and was know for her cooking, dancing, and decorating skills.  Tammy had a great sense of humor and was the life of any party.

Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at Meadow Land Baptist Church, 1188 Detour Rd., Bowling Green.  Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church.  Pastor Adam Trent will preside.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
