Nora Joyce Anderson

Nora Joyce Anderson, 84, of Lewisburg, KY, died Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky, in Bowling Green, KY.  Many knew her by Joyce or Granny.

The Monroe County native was the daughter of the late Isiah McKinley Horne and Francis Ester Martin Horne. She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Lynn W Horne and Charles Horne. Joyce was the wife of the late George Hall Anderson. Joyce wore many hats as a mother to great grandmother, all while being a housewife.  She was also a proud member of Second Baptist Church of Russellville.  Joyce loved her horses, Starr and Barr, dogs, Tigger, Kayla, Bee, and a cat named Meow-Meow.  

Joyce left behind to cherish her memories:  Her son, Johnny (Kezia) Anderson of Russellville.  A bonus son, Jeff Horne (Bailey) along with his children, Sophia and Alicia Horne of Houston TX.  She also leaves behind six grandchildren:  Matthew (Tonya) Anderson, of Clarksville, TN; Richard (Erica) Anderson of Bowling Green, KY, Micheal (Lindsay), Alexis, and Jordan Drake all of Russellville, KY.  Great grandchildren, Landon, Keaton, and Addie Anderson of Clarksville, TN.  As well as many nieces and nephews that will cherish fond memories of Joyce.  

Joyce's funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
