Nancy Sills Yates

Nancy Sills Yates, 64, of Bowling Green, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at her residence.

The Trigg County native was a daughter of the late Andrew Marvin Sills, Jr. and Martha King Sills and is also preceded in death by a brother, William Sills and a sister, Betty Coller.   She was the wife of the late Tim Yates.  Nancy was a member of Plum Springs Baptist Church and a retired employee of Shop NBC.  She enjoyed UK Basketball, playing with her grandchildren and outings with the church group. 

Leaving to cherish her memory is two daughters, April Martin (Steven) and Heather Yates; three grandchildren, Masyn Martin, Conyer Martin and Jaxon Martin; three brothers, John Sills (Mavis), Andrew Sills (Mary Ann), James Sills (Debbie); two sisters, Frances Tolsma (Phillip) and Martha Zubia; seven nieces, Kristine Pardoski (Gary), Lori Greer (Brian), Ali Ross (Dan),  Mary Beth Decock, Beverly McAuley (Ryan), Tammy Dina (Joey) and Summer Almy (Drew) and one nephew, John Thomas.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, at Plums Springs Baptist Church with burial in the Plum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday at the church.  Arrangements were entrusted to Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
