Mildred Tanner McConnell

Mildred Tanner McConnell, 101, went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2024.

Mildred was born in Warren County, graduated from South Warren High School and earned an associate degree in Business Administration. She retired from the Metro Sewer Districts (MSD) office in Louisville, KY. She was a life-long Christian and a member of Shively Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas McConnell; her parents, Albion C and Dixie Lewis Tanner; her siblings, Edna Willis (George), Floyd Tanner (Minnie), Raymond Tanner (Doris) Eugene Tanner (Louise) and a niece Norma Jean Willis.

Her survivors include, one nephew, Gary Tanner (Juanita) and two nieces, Sherry Schneider (Mike) and Laura Tanner. She had a special fondness for Finner Miller and his daughters,

There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-2 Tuesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.

In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Potter’s Children Home, 2350 Nashville Rd., Bowling Green, KY 42101
