Joyce Ann Emerson Cooke

Joyce Ann Emerson Cooke, 81, passed peacefully at her son’s home on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. She was born to the proud parents of Omer Emerson and Louise Fisher Emerson, on March 10, 1943. In addition to her parents preceding her in death, her siblings, Leslie Emerson, Clemon Emerson, Willie Henry Emerson, and Bessie Nell Smith left this world before Joyce.

Joyce retired from Continental Telephone and worked in the Office of the Registrar at WKU. She was a member of Smiths Grove Baptist Church and The Ruth Class. 

Leaving to cherish the many memories is her son, G. W. Cooke and his wife Jennifer; Grandchildren; Haley Dunning (Tyler), Dawson Cooke, and Levi Cooke along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family may show their respects on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hardy & Son Funeral Chapel on Louisville Road. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with the service starting at 12:00 p.m. The burial will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery. The staff of Hardy & Son is honored to be entrusted with these arrangements.
