Joseph Burchett

Joseph Brent Burchett, 60 of Los Angeles, CA passed away on March 3, 2022 in Los Angeles where he had resided for the last ten years of his life.

The Louisville native was a son of the late Jerry M. Burchett and Carol J. Stewart.  He was preceded in death by his brother Jerry B. Burchett.  Joe attended Bowling Green High School, class of 1979 and served in the United States Army.

Surviving are his son, Landon R. Burchett of Lexington; two sisters, Javoni Burchett and Jana Curtis Lee both of Bowling Green and his first wife, Toni Rea Burchett of Richmond, KY.

His service will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 12 p.m. in conjunction with his mother’s service who passed shortly thereafter.  Both will be held at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel. Visitation will be on Friday, April 22 from 5-8 p.m. and again on Saturday, 10 a.m.-12p.m.  Cremation was chosen with a private ceremony to follow at his childhood park, George Rogers Park in Louisville.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation’s to the 13th Street Club House or the NAMI Foundation.  Donation envelopes will be on hand at the funeral home.
