John Paul Johnson

John Paul Johnson, 85, of Bowling Green passed peacefully on June 1, 2024, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green.

The East McDowell, KY, native was a son of the late Henry Day Johnson and Kansas Elliott Johnson.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Fife Johnson, and his siblings, Francis Johnson, Pat Fradel, Gery Tsolis, Mary Lou Holcomb, Bill Johnson, Eva Engle and Andy "Nick" Johnson.  John served in the U. S. Army, worked as a mechanic, and was of the Baptist Faith. 

His survivors include his daughter, Lesa Trevino, his son, Gregory Johnson (Kelli), five grandchildren, Joshua Trevino (Kimberly), Zachary Trevino, John Johnson, Jake Johnson, and Casey Johnson.  Survivors include one sister, JudyTrombley, and two brothers, Vivan (Doc) Johnson and Gus Johnson and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.  

A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Hardy & Son Funeral Homes, Bowling Green Chapel, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.  There will be a private burial at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Homes.
