Helen Duley

Helen May Duley, 87 of Bowling Green formally of Santa Maria, CA entered into rest Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.

She was a daughter of the late Wallace and Martha Miller Ferris and her late husband of 57 years Donald Duley.  She is preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Hawkins, a grandson, Jason Reasner and a brother, Warren Ferris.  Helen was retired from Columbia Records in Santa Maria, CA.  She and her husband lived in Illinois, California,  then retired to Bowling Green to be close to a large portion of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a devoted housewife and loved her family.  A wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.  She was a fantastic cook and no one ever left her house hungry.  Even all the neighborhood children.

Her survivors include four daughters, Carolyn McCarter (Barry), Marilyn Duley, Sherry Thompson (Al), Tammy Hunter; two sons, Don Duley (Jill) and Dennis Duley.  12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren; two brothers, Wallace "Buddy" Ferris (Nancy) and Tommy Ferris (Barbara); two sisters, Barbara Packard and Marie Ferris; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Greenview Hospital and Hospice for their exceptional care of their mother.

Local arrangements are by Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.  Funeral service will be held at Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence St. Andover, MA 01810 on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. with burial at Ridgewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Rd., Bowling Green, KY  42104
