Geneva Rich, 85, of Smiths Grove passed peacefully at her residence on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Geneva was a daughter of the late Elbert Compton and Cleo Lyons Compton. She was wife of the late Albert R. Rich for 63 years. She is preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Clifford Peay and Medford Skaggs. She was a Deputy Clerk for the Warren Circuit Clerk; a member of the Smiths Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class for many years with each lady being more like a sister. The family would like to thank her neighbors and close friends who looked after her while she was living at home.
Leaving to cherish her memories are her two daughters, Debbie Joyner (Monroe) and Sandy Butler (Johnnie), one son, Mike Rich (Pan). She was a loving Gee to six grandchildren, Josh James (Jamie), Lucas Joyner (Liza), Kasey McCrary (Chris), Brooke Miller (Steven), Linsey Logsdon, and Mattie Rich (Chandel), 14 great grandchildren, Mackenzie Miller, Jacob Miller, Abby Logsdon, Lucy Joyner, Connor James, Lily Joyner, Nolan McCrary, Jonathan Miller, Ryser Anne Joyner, Mallorie James, Jackson Riley Logsdon, Ryne McCrary, Julia Joyner and Cole McCrary, her three sisters, Jeanette Skaggs, Brenda Brawner (Carl) and Jean Peay, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel, with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday and 9-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Smiths Grove Baptist Church Ruth Class.
