Florence was a devout member of Shady Land Church of Christ. She was the owner and operator of the Massey Store on Louisville Rd. for many years. She was a Representative and Assistant Manager with AVON. She also owned and managed her farm after her husband passed away in 1996.
Florence was a devoted wife, a devoted mother, a devoted friend and a very loving daughter. She was very devoted to her faith in God and Jesus Christ. She loved her family, her friends, her home and her work. She truly enjoyed her life of 100 years. She lived it to the fullest- all the way to the end. She had a lot of courage and strength which she always attributed to her faith in God. She was blessed with her wish to live at home until she passed. She was blessed with two loyal caretakers: Peggy Jordan and Letha Martin, who were the manager of her care for the last few years.
Florence loved rock and roll music and enjoyed hearing Aretha Franklin sin "Pink Cadillac". She would jokingly say she wished she had a pink caddie to match her lipstick. She was quite a lady-full of courage and strength and certainly blessed with a super great sense of humor. She will surely be missed.
