Ethel Jean Sanders

Ethel Jean Sanders of Cub Run, KY, died on Wednesday, February 7, at her residence.  Ethel was born in Louisville, KY, to the proud parents of Leslie Duff and Shelia Watkins Duff, who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and a great grandchild, Robbie Avery.  Ethel was a retired Apartment Manager and a member of The Place Worship Center.

Ethel loved to read, play Bunko with her friends, and loved to watch UK Sports and the Dallas Cowboys.   She is survived by three sons:   Larry Wayne Sanders (Kim), Bill Sanders (Lynne), and Mike Sanders (Teresa).  She also leaves 10 grandchildren:  Jamie Lynn Poteet, Christopher Wayne Sanders (E), Douglas B Sanders, Douglas D. Sanders, Delaney Sanders, Derrick Sanders, Stephanie Sanders, Courtney Thomason (Billy), Megan Klaine (Austin), and Emily Hawthorne (Zeb).   Her legacy continues with 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; two sisters:  Beverly Meeks (Ernie); and Shirley Vincent; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; plus, her puppy – Baxter.  

Friends and family members may call on Friday, February 9, at Hardy & Son Bowling Green Chapel from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. to time of the service.  The service will be at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Fairview Cemetery.  

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to T. J. Samson Hospice Association.
