Earl William Manco, 79, of Bowling Green passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
The Warren County native was a son of the late James Robert Manco and Ova Elsie Pennington Manco Wilson. He was the husband of the late Katherine Gunnels Manco. He was also preceded in death by his Stepdad, Cooper Wilson and his special friend, Betty McDaniel. Earl was a Funeral Director and Embalmer for 53 years at Hardy & Son Funeral Home. He was a member and deacon of Plum Springs Baptist Church; Smiths Grove Lions Club--serving two terms as President and Kentucky District Governor; Chairman and member of The Warren County School Board and leading WCPS in many decisions affecting children. He also took pride in serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Earl’s survivors include his son, Thomas Manco (Jessie); three daughters, Sharon Bidwell, Cindy Manco, and Jamie Farley (Kevin); eight grandchildren, Grace Bright (Annie), Hannah Braden, Westen Williams, Tyler Williams, Isabelle Farley, Kylie Williams, Liam Basham and Aiden Basham; two great grandchildren, Griffin Williams and Emil Bright; one brother, James David Manco (Charlene); one sister, Anna Webb; and three nieces.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Plum Springs Baptist Church with visitation 9 – 11 a.m. Burial in Plum Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. Sunday, at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Alzheimer’s Organization; Hospice of Southern KY. and/or American Warrior Association.
