Debbie East Keys

Debbie East Keys, 68, of Smiths Grove, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, with dignity and peace surrounded by her family. She was at The Hospice House of Southern Kentucky at the time of her passing. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Keys; and her father and mother, Billy Ray East and Delores Yokley East. 

Debbie was born in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a bookkeeper and a member of Merry Oaks Methodist Church. She was an avid UK Fan. Recently, she and Don lived in Florida but looked forward to coming back to Kentucky to be with family. 

Leaving to cherish her sweet memory and the memories they created together are her sisters: Becky Carroll and Judy Gaul (Brian). She was proud of her two nieces and two nephews: Amanda Miller (John), Jessie Nash (Gary), Colby Carroll (Tiffany), and Kyle Carroll (Rachel). Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and great nephews. In addition, her mother-in-law, Phyllis Keys Richardson and Brother-in-law, Kenny Keys (Deborah) survive.

Debbie’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Hardy & Son Funeral Homes, Smiths Grove Chapel. Friends and family may pay their respects on Friday from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Smiths Grove Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. The staff at Hardy & Son consider it an honor to assist in these arrangements.
