Carolyn Saltsman

Carolyn June Saltsman, 76, of Smiths Grove, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 22, 2024, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky.  Carolyn was born in Louisville, KY, to Delmar Day and Clara Wood Day who preceded her in death.  Also, preceding her in death was her brother, Dr. Charles Day.  

Carolyn had served in various locations as a Postmaster.  She was highly respected in her line of work.  In addition, Carolyn was a member of Smiths Grove Baptist Church and taught The Ruth Class in Sunday School.  She was a true Christian in her work and her deeds.

Leaving to cherish her memory is her husband, Roscoe Saltsman; a daughter, Andrea Ransdell (Troy); a cherished granddaughter, Lennon Ransdell and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.   

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Smiths Grove Cemetery.  Friends and family members are invited to attend.   The service will begin at 1:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, it was Carolyn’s wish that contributions be made to The Smiths Grove Baptist Church General Fund.
