Carol Stewart

Carol Chaney Stewart, 82 of Bowling Green passed away on March 31, 2022 at the Edmonson Center in Brownsville.

The Russellville, KY native was a retired accountant at The Medical Center of Bowling Green, a self-taught artist, and a past member of the Assembly of God Church in Louisville.  She was the daughter of the late Henry Bryan Chaney and Ella Bernice Chaney.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry B. Burchett and Joseph B. Burchett, a brother Robert B. Chaney and her late husband Homer Stewart.

Surviving are her two daughters, Javonni Burchett and Jana Curtis Lee; four grandsons, Landon R. Burchett, S. Zain Curtis, Gage Lee and Jason Parker, as well as two nephews, Matthew Bryan Chaney and Brandon Chaney.

Her service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 23 in conjunction with her son's service who passed shortly before his mother.  The service will be held at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.  Visitation will be Friday April 22 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10a.m.-12 p.m. Cremation was chosen with a private ceremony to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville.  It was Carol's wish in lieu of flowers that donations be made to her grandson's medical expense who was in a horrific car accident in December.
