Ava Bledsoe

Ava Cowles Bledsoe, 85 of Indianapolis, Indiana formerly of Bowling Green passed away May 9, 2019.

She was a daughter of the late James Holbert and Minnie Ova Elizabeth Pennington Cowles and wife of the late Gettie Monroe Bledsoe.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Steven and Avery Marion, a grandson, Jeremy Ray, a grand-daughter-in-law, Katherine Kay.  She took pride in being a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved the Lord and her church where she was a pillar of strength and dedication.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Monroe (Lisa Spiegel), a daughter-in-law, Betty Lou; grandchildren, Jessica Lynn, Jacob Monroe and their mother Melissa and great-grandchildren: Colton Ray, Emery Jay and Kaitlyn Kay.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Boiling Springs Cemetery under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
